Teijin Twaron is an international company that supplies customers throughout the world with para-aramid polymer, yarn, fiber, and pulp under the trade name Twaron^®. As a worldwide leader in the field of aramid fibers,Teijin Twaron develops and processes one of the most versatile products available today. Marketed under the brand name Twaron, the synthetic fiber made from aramid polymer can be found in a comprehensive range of products including: protective clothing, ballistic vests and helmets, hoses, composites, conveyor belts, optical fiber cables, thermoplastic pipes, transmission belts, gaskets, brake linings and clutch facings.

Over the last twenty years Teijin Twaron has built up a unique know-how and expertise in the production and processing of aramid fibers. These specialized laboratories have production equipment which simulate the production process of the customers, enabling testing Twaron under realistic conditions.

For instance for the friction and sealing market, Teijin Twaron has its own, ISO 9001 certified, research facilities in Wuppertal (Germany). Among others, this lab runs a full-size flat gasket manufacturing line, a calender and a punch press. For gasket testing there is a climate chamber, a gas leakage tester and assorted other items.
