Lenzing AG is a major producer of PTFE yarns for compression packings. Our yarns are produced in a new 50,000 square foot facility in Lenzing, Österreich, using Lenzing's patented "Split Peeling" process.
Lenzing can provide packing manufacturers with both highly orientated white and graphited PTFE filament yarns for excellent extrusion resistance and dimensional stability, as well as graphite and talc filled expanded (ePTFE) yarns which offer more resilience and conformability. Superior packings often use a combination of both filament and expanded PTFE yarns.
Special grades are available for food and drug applications as well as for oxygen service.
Highly thermostable P-84 polyimide yarns combine outstanding chemical performance with superior pressure resistance and offer excellent sealability with minimal shaft wear.
Lenzing also produces high tenacity PTFE filament yarns, sewing threads and staple fibres under the trade name "Profilen". Profilen yarns are used in scrim fabrics for chemically resistant filter bags. The sewing thread is used in sewing filter bags and UV resistant fabrics. Our newest product, Profilen PTFE staple fibre is used in speciality felts and for spinning high performance hybrid yarns.
Lenzing AG has been ISO 9001 accredited since 1994.
