Since last year, the European Sealing Association (ESA) has established a landmark partnership with The Gasket & Seals Show, aimed at fostering innovation, advancing sustainability, and enhancing industry standards within the sealing technology sector. This collaboration brings together two leading organisations to create an unparalleled platform for knowledge sharing and industry engagement.
The Gasket & Seals Show is where the industry’s leading innovators, manufacturers, and engineers come together to explore the future of sealing solutions. As sectors such as automotive, aerospace, energy, and manufacturing continue to demand higher performance, greater durability, and improved sustainability, the need for cutting-edge gasket and sealing technologies has never been greater. The event serves as a key platform for discovering the latest materials, technologies, and applications that are redefining efficiency, reliability, and safety across critical industries.
During Materials Week Europe 2026, held at the RAI in Amsterdam from 24 to 26 February, our ESG Director Sandy Van den Broeck, representing the ESA, had the privilege of speaking as a guest speaker. Sandy provided the audience with an update on the current status of the PFAS restriction process and its potential impact on the sealing industry.
It was also a pleasure to reconnect with several of our members, including MCM / Angst & Pfister, Planichem, and Seval, who showcased their high-performance sealing materials. We also appreciated the opportunity for brief but engaging exchanges with two other ESA member companies, Eriks and Efire.
We are excited to see the new collaborations, discoveries, and impact that will emerge from this year’s achievements. The European Sealing Association looks forward to welcoming everyone back for an even bigger Materials Week Europe 2027.

ESG Director, ESA
