The ESA’s ESG Director Sandy Van den Broeck was featured in the April 2025 issue of Valve World Magazine, where he shared thoughts on the complex regulatory landscape surrounding PFAS – and what a possible ban could mean for the sealing industry.

“At the moment, there are no other chemicals with the same technical properties that we can use instead of the fluoropolymers. The alternatives that are available do not last as long as they can’t handle the same critical applications,” Sandy explains in the interview.
