The European Sealing Association (ESA) was proud to participate in the 2025 edition of the Gasket & Seals Show, held on March 19–20 at the RAI in Amsterdam. As one of Europe’s newest events showcasing the sealing industry, the show provided an invaluable platform for collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing across key sectors including automotive, aerospace, energy, and industrial manufacturing.

This year, ESA had the honour of contributing two high-profile speakers to the show’s technical conference programme:

Sandy Van den Broeck, ESA’s Regulatory Affairs spokesperson, delivered a compelling session on PFAS restrictions and their implications for the sealing industry. His presentation sparked essential discussions around material substitution, sustainability, and the urgent need for cross-sector collaboration as the industry adapts to tightening EU regulations.

Christian Geubert, representing ESA member Angst & Pfister, delivered a presentation on PFAS and its implications for sealing technology. His session addressed the challenges and opportunities associated with the regulation of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), focusing on material substitution and compliance strategies within the sealing industry.

ESA’s presence underscored the association’s commitment to supporting members through regulatory changes and promoting best practices across sealing applications. From compliance guidance to facilitating research and innovation, ESA continues to be a key voice in shaping the future of sealing technology in Europe.

The show itself, co-located with Silicone Expo Europe, featured over 150 exhibitors and drew professionals from across the globe. ESA representatives engaged with stakeholders at all levels, strengthening partnerships and championing the critical role of sealing technologies in modern industry.

ESA’s role at the 2026 show

ESA is also partnering with the Gasket & Seals Show 2026, further deepening its involvement in industry dialogue and innovation. Planned contributions include:

  • technical conference – presentations by ESA members on topics such as PFAS, sustainable materials, and sealing technology advancements;
  • collaboration on regulatory discussions, material innovation and best practices within the sealing industry;
  • networking opportunities – attendees will have the chance to engage with ESA representatives, fostering connections and collaborations across the sealing value chain.

This partnership highlights ESA’s ongoing dedication to supporting the sealing industry through education, advocacy, and collaboration.
