2017 has been a great year for the ESA with some good progress in a number of areas. The Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) programme continues to dominate our work at the European Commission together with activity in the Drinking Water Directive. Each division is gradually pulling together its own Best Available Technology papers. We are now recognized as an association at the EC and will continue to work on these important pieces of legislation. All these projects go in-line with our resolution to be more influential in the area of developing new standards and maintaining our links with developing legislation.

There is activity in all divisions which can now be viewed in the members area. Here we list the agendas and minutes of each meeting. We have also been working more closely with the FSA on joint projects within the Mechanical Seals, Packings and Flange Gasket division.  In addition to the FSA we now also have links with the Indian Sealing Association and Chinese Sealing Association.

You will also see that the marketing team has introduced a Careers section to our web site which is now being utilized by a number of members. Any new information is now distributed via our ESA group in LinkedIn. This marketing of the Careers area has also been extended and distributed via direct mailings to our database of contacts with its own special newsletter.

I believe there is an exciting year ahead of us and I would like to wish all members festive holidays and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
